Hmmm… this Holidays i just joined the Corporation Bank Centenary Library !! they have a really good collection of contemporary writing…im going crazy!!! also i can borrow my Text books for next Semester :))

Been reading quite a bit… read Artemis Fowl ..a unusual fantasy with a Anti-hero as the main Protagonist..but the better Book i got last time was Kiran Desai’s “Hullabaloo in the Guava Orchard” ..Awesome, Hilarious..here’s a short description.

“Hullabaloo..” is mainly about the life of 20 year old post office-clerk, Sampath Chawla, who decides that his life is going nowwhere and decides that enough is enough!!!! so one fine day when his family is out at a wedding he runs away from his house in the town of Shahkot. and then the story really starts!!! he starts to live in a Tree in an abandoned Guava Orchard, the ensuing events are real entertaining,…the Author has incorporated a lot of characters, some very Eccentric..My Favorite is the Hypochondriac CMO (chief Medical Officer) who is worried about stomach ulcers and drinks Onion Juice as a cure …She’s also done a really good story line which i feel is better than her second work which won the Man Booker Prize in 2006; The inheritance of Loss. Shahkot brings to life the non-sleepy kinda eastern town which kinda reminds you of R.K. Narayan’s Malgudi!! The travails of a boy mistaken to be a godman and whole lot of crazy sub-plots make this a very interesting read!!! try to get it!!!

Now reading : The cult sci-fi comedy ” the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy ” by Douglas Adams!!! more about that later

odd thing really…slid on loose soil while playing Cricket on Republic day while in 8th standard..broke my hand and made my friends laugh all in one go!!! missed a school test due to that !!! Yay!!!

wall 1 contains the door..the switchboard , a very messy iron shelf,the spare gas cylinder..containing an assortment of junk and other important stuff of all at home..

wall 2 contains my very adorable table which is forever in a stable state of equilibrium

another small table with my Dads stuff on it(the guitar occasionally leans over here)!!! the tubelight and a poster with Peace written on it..

wall 3 contains a window,a steel cupboard,the newspaper pile… and the bedside table with part of the Bed against the wall!!!

wall 4 contains the bed and a window and at the top a ventilation opening!!

i dont think it affects me at all??

the freedom to access the Computer as and when possible (reason for frustration!!!)

ok so there it is 3 weeks of semi-freedom lie in front of me and im now planning stuff to keep me from getting bored..

The Exams were rated ok by me..math resulted in me getting some really unusually long answers which im scared to even think about, Doh! for Physics i used the 5 chapter strategy!!!!(perhaps the only VTU rule i like) which worked in a lovely way!!! electrical and civil went on ok…while Mechanical had us wondering about what to write in Part B which was part Murder!!! with simple “Distinguish between….” coming for 10 marks!!! i wrote whatever came to my head and went on building from there last but not the least ‘Constitution and Professional Ethics’ (’consti’ for short)which has a unique story linked with it..the paper was easy..
lets see now after the results come what has happened !!!all in all the papers were not something u could predict with the usual stuff hardly showing up!!!

ok now this is what happened on Consti day!!! there i was thinking i wouldnt be able to catch the early bus to college so i hurried off without checking whether i had everything that i needed..the reason?? i thought everything was in its right place…so got the bus and we were on the way,me completely oblivious to what awaited me..so at around Surathkal thats about 15 Kms out of mangalore,i for some reason opened my bag to check for my hall ticket..and Lo! and Behold!! it wasnt there!!!! i totally freaked out!!! what do i do now??? and lucky me!!! for some reason i had taken my Cellphone with me that day!!! which according to VTU rules shouldnt be with you in the college and also is quite distracting if u wanna study!! so i called up ma mom and made her come to PVS..but that still meant that i would have to go back all the way..so i got out of the bus and took another express back home!!! got the hallticket!!! and was waiting for another bus to go to college!! now what was worrying me was whether i would be able to make in time??? i didnt want a ‘back’ for consti!! who would??? i was relieved to see the bus!! since i could calculate that i would make it with time to spare!!! so that was the end of the ordeal!!!and again the guys helped me out with telling me which class was my room for the Exam!!! Love them!! Thanks!!!! thats the end…

now now dont advice me on “you should be more careful..!! next time you wouldnt be so lucky!!!” ive got more than my share of that!!!

the terror attacks recently have shocked most people …can you imagine that people who you might be with everyday could do such stuff….coming back on the Bus after Math exam ,we did just that..the conversation actually started with either me resembling one of them(i dont think so)..or Raison resembling Kabeel (i do think so with the glasses and everything!!!) anyway so it was like that, “can we trust people who are around us????” now we(atleast me) can ..but what about later in life???? ” how do we know that any of us dont turn into a terrorist or something??” said one guy..”maybe you can never do so, just be alert!!!” joked me.

The conversation also noted that the guys in question were good in studies and surprising to know that educated people would go about such primitive acts??? “there has to be a reason behind it” i said( i still believe that!!)…anyway s the conversation ended with me trying to recall how to create a Molotov cocktail!!!
